As we are all aware of recent events in Corfu. Two young British children lost their lives due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning (For more Information click here). This tragic event could have been avoided, if the Boiler that caused the Carbon Monoxide was maintained with a regular Boiler Service.

We all have a duty of care to ourselves and others around us, to have any Gas Boilers Maintained and serviced at least once a year. It is also advisable to have a Carbon Monoxide Detector located in close proximity to your Boiler or any other Gas Appliance

Are you a landlord? Did you know Landlords must be able to provide their tenants with an up-to-date Landlords gas safety certificate

All landlords have a legal duty under the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 to maintain all appliances and flues that have been provided for their tenants and to have them checked once a year. You should therefore have a Landlords Gas Safety Certificate issued by a Gas Safe Engineer once every 12 months.

By law, landlords must have all gas appliances serviced regularly, normally once a year by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The Gas Safe registered engineer will provide a Landlords gas safety certificate upon completion of the check.
